Our Partnership With Coventry and Warwickshire Chamber of Commerce

Earlier this year, we were invited to work with Coventry and Warwickshire Chamber of Commerce after Louise Bennett, CEO of the Chamber, attended our virtual workshop on Leading the Recovery with Emotional Intelligence.

Louise works closely with her HR Manager, Matt Hammersley, to ensure the well-being and satisfaction of their team. During lockdown, they kept in touch with their colleagues who were on furlough, working remotely, and those who had been in a hybrid of both of those situations. As with many organisations, they had some informal feedback that indicated some additional support was required. Not known to rest on their laurels, Louise and Matt acted immediately.

As a result, we were asked to provide several workshops. To ensure the most effective learning solutions were chosen, we provided a series of 1:1 discovery sessions with a few of the Chamber’s team members to gather open and honest feedback about thoughts, feelings, and needs. This feedback confirmed that there was a need for support in leading themselves and others during these challenging times.

Following this, a bespoke programme was designed for the Chamber; Bouncing Back and Moving Forwards. During the workshops, participants explored their own wellbeing and mental health with Mental Health expert and Leadership Coach Heather Rayfield. They also explored the challenges faced by their colleagues and members, identifying practical solutions and effective conversations to make a difference to those they serve.

After the workshops, anonymous feedback was gathered and 100% of participants said they would recommend the workshops to colleagues, a snippet of a participants feedback said "I learned tips and tricks to manage my thought process, to remember to empathise with colleagues, and not jump to conclusions straight away, to develop a more conscious way of thinking."

Following the programme, Matt Hammersley said "The Chamber is delighted with the work of The Leadership Coaches and has subsequently booked a series of 1:1 Leadership Coaching sessions to support the next stage of development for some of our leaders".

If you believe that your team would benefit from team or even 1:1 leadership coaching to help them lead during times of uncertainty and previously inexperienced challenges, give us a call or send us an email to arrange a complimentary coaching chemistry session today.
