With over 20 years of coaching experience, Sue Stockdale knows that most leadership challenges boil down to ‘navigating human relationships’ and that helping leaders to improve in this area will ultimately have a positive impact on bottom line business results.

Sue is a highly experienced executive coach and leadership specialist, working with CEOs, board level executives and senior managers worldwide, helping them maximise their effectiveness.

Sue has first-hand experience of operating in high-performance environments, having represented Scotland in athletics and as a record-breaking polar explorer. In the workplace Sue held a Senior manager role in Training and Development in British Gas and a change management role in the United Nations in a war zone.

Clients describe her style as inspiring, results-focused, empathetic, adaptable, challenging and fun. She quickly builds rapport and trust with clients and is able to challenge them to achieve more than they believe is possible.

With a clear focus on making a business impact and measuring results, Sue enables leaders to gain insight and, ultimately change their behaviour, by addressing the unconscious patterns of behaviour or beliefs that can stop them being effective.

She is also a qualified and highly experienced coaching supervisor providing 1:1 and group supervision for internal coaches.

Finally, Sue aims to role model high-performance herself. She was the first UK woman to ski to the Magnetic North Pole (1996), has written eight popular business books including Risk: All that Matters, and Cope with Change at Work. Sue is Podcast Host of Coaching Perspectives magazine, has received a Global Coaching Leadership Award in Mumbai, and was been recognised as a Pioneer to the Nation in 2003 by HM The Queen.

I didn't know what to expect from coaching, but I knew I needed some kind of guidance. Sue helped me to transition from a hands-on Manager to a Senior Executive by assessing my personality with a proven methodology - Birkman Assessment. She supported me in finding my own answers to different challenges I was facing, building my professional confidence, widening my perspective and teaching me how to create positive ripple effects. Having coaching sessions with Sue was a turning point in my career; I highly recommend her.

Sue’s coaching was inspirational, challenging and supportive helping me to remove the fog from some areas when I could not see a way forward. Her probing and open questioning was very helpful in making me reflect and question my approach to situations.

Sue provided coaching for a member of the leadership team. As a result, the Director made good progress in being more strategic, often in difficult circumstances which I recognised. Sue kept me involved from the outset, and with a mid way review and end of programme meeting, I felt engaged in the process and able to contribute to the direction of the coaching goals where necessary.
