I established my coaching practice in 2016 with a clear intent to support Directors, Senior Managers and Business Owners in their quest to become outstanding leaders within their organisation.

Prior to becoming a leadership coach I enjoyed a successful corporate career including significant leadership experience from HR Director level positions within Babcock International and E.on UK. This experience is a key underpin for my work today; I have a very real understanding of the challenges and dilemmas facing leaders in the modern workplace.

In terms of approach, my intent is to encourage self-discovery and help clients focus on the areas of performance that may be holding them back or creating challenges to their leadership effectiveness.  My role is to listen hard, ask the appropriate powerful questions and provide meaningful observations to create breakthrough awareness and options for future development. I am similarly driven by the need to help clients develop the actions that will embed the identified changes to their approach and behaviour.

My clients say they find my coaching style engaging, absolutely focused on their needs and offering genuinely practical support as they develop their future strategy and plans.

I believe I am a coach who delivers the appropriate mix of support and challenge - from a  personal perspective,  I believe coaching is about empowering the people I work with to do their very best thinking and creating the motivation to make enduring changes to the way they lead.

Above all I want my coaching to be seen as client-led; I need my clients to feel they are heard, respected and supported on their journey. I have a strong belief that people are capable of extraordinary things if they are properly supported and encouraged; this is the place I coach from and it allows me to develop focused and pragmatic coaching relationships.

“I have been fortunate enough to be coached by Paul. He brings practicality and reality to the coaching environment. He is extremely supportive but equally challenging when discussing solutions to issues and situations in corporate life. He encourages the client to develop their thoughts into real-world actions. Highly recommended”

“Paul’s wealth of experience within business shone through but it came with an ego free willingness to connect. I found him emotionally intelligent, honest in his assessment and challenging when appropriate. For me it was important to hear a voice that I could trust and he provided an environment where I could bounce ideas off with complete openness. He has helped me to focus and prioritise what needs to be done to get me where I want to be professionally and personally.”

“Paul combines a wealth of experience as a leader with the ability to actively listen and judge where to guide my thinking. Paul's style is to encourage personal reflection and then provide the stimulus/challenge to help you reach conclusions about a way forward. In doing this he is also prepared to offer more practical advice if necessary and to ensure you have developed a clear plan to embed changes. It was a pleasure to work with Paul and he has really helped to shape and clarify my thinking in a number of areas.”
